 Program

 

All participants successfully completing orientation are scheduled for a one-on-one session with an Individual Recovery Coach for job skills assessment, and development of an Individual Employment Plan (IEP) during the first week of enrollment. The Recovery Coach conducts intensive one-on-one and small group coaching and mentoring to identify and develop strategies to eliminate employment barriers. The Recovery Coach will then schedule participant to attend industry specific job skills training.

 

The Recovery coach will provide comprehensive training essential in conducting productive job search activities, such as job interviewing, completing a job application, and resume’ preparation. Participants will meet weekly with their Recovery Coach to determine the next activity as outlined in the Individual Employment Plan. Participants who fail to participate in/or complete activities outlined in the Individual Employment Plan will be assessed by Recovery Coach for continuation or termination of services. The Recovery Coach will discuss findings with the Project Manager and a final determination will be made.

 

The Recovery Coach is responsible for conducting weekly sessions with participants, verifying job search activities, and documenting employment placements. Participants finding full-time employment are no longer required to participate in the program however they are encourgaged to participate in the Alumni Association.

 

At the Post-Employment services appointment the Recovery Coach will make referrals for requested supportive services including a referral to the job developer for continued mentoring, and monitoring. Post-Employment Services are offered to all employed participants working at least 20 hours per week for a period of 180-days following date of employment. Continued employment is verified every 30-days. This is accomplished by an appointment with a Recovery Coach.   Post-Employment services include job retention services.

 

Re-Employment services provide job search assistance to participants who lose their jobs. When a participant loses their job they are referred to a Recovery Coach and Job Developer for job search activities, supportive services, and/or job replacement.

 

Recovery Coaching: Participants meet face-to-face with their Individual Personal Recovery Coach. To enhance the long-term success of sustained recovery and employment, individual recovery and employment plans are developed. Personal Recovery Coaches assist participants in job search activities, such as job interviewing; completing a job application; and resume’ preparation. Recovery Coaches assist participants in addressing activities associated with daily living such as budgeting, interpersonal relations, anger management, and connecting participants to available community resources.

 

Spiritual Support: Participants meet with clergy to develop spiritually-based solutions for healing and growth associated with the daily challenges of living. Utilizing spiritually-based solutions participants began the healing process, allowing them to develop the strategies necessary to avoid the pitfalls of depression, hopelessness, and despair.

 

Transportation: Transportation assistance is provided on an as needed basis.
